1996 – Start of youth netball by Jan Hornby and Lynn Brown, netball sessions on a Sunday morning in the school holidays. It then progressed to the outside courts at Stanley Park in the summer and moved to St Mary’s Sports Hall in the winter months.

1997 – Blackpool Youth Netball Club formed. Lynn Brown becomes a Level 2 Club Coach.

1997 – Moved to Blackpool Sports Centre, Stanley Park, two sessions on a Monday night indoors. Sadly Jan left us because of school commitments.

1999 – Joined by Becky Hearsum-Smith a Level one coach who is a great asset to the club.

2002 – We were very fortunate to gain two more Level one coaches, Gill Walker and Gabrielle Towell who have both played Lancashire County Netball, they have brought to the club an enormous amount of experience and knowledge.

2003 – Joined by Maria Rollinson who has come along as a helper, but in the near future will be doing her beginners coaching award. Gill unfortunately has had to give up playing because of injury. Gabrielle and Lynn both play 1st Division netball in the Fylde Netball League. Becky and Maria also play in the 3rd Division.

2004 – The Club is going from strength to strength and this is mainly due to the dedicated work and commitment of all the coaches.
